We know that leaving an abusive relationship takes extraordinary courage. And we know that what comes after, the questions and the working out who you are now, can feel just as hard in its own way. You've done the hardest part. But that doesn't always mean you know what comes next.
That's exactly why we created Skylark
Skylark is a free six-week programme for women in Cambridgeshire who have already left an abusive relationship and are starting to think about what the next chapter looks like. It's not about going back over what happened. It's about you - who you are now, what you want, and what you're capable of.
Skylark is led by Anna and Karen, who between them bring years of professional experience in trauma recovery - and the kind of understanding that only comes from having been there themselves. You'll be in a room with people who genuinely get it.

Karen is a qualified coach specialising in supporting clients who have experienced domestic abuse.
Karen is also experienced in supporting people with emotions surrounding loss, whether that is the loss of a loved one, loss of identity, loss of safety or any loss which has a significant impact on the individual and their family.

Anna is a Level 4 Qualified BACP Therapist and has also worked with Mind as a Crisis Recovery Worker, supporting individuals during periods of acute emotional distress.
She is experienced in a wide range of mental health difficulties, including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, bereavement and child loss, relationship issues and suicidal thoughts.
When we ran our pilot programme, something lovely happened. What began as a programme became something more like a community. That's what we're hoping Skylark can be for you too.
