Peterborough Women's Aid
Peterborough Women's Aid (PWA) provide safe and stable refuge accommodation for women and children fleeing high risk domestic abuse potentially at risk of homicide. PWA has delivered services since 1975.
Their refuge accommodation comprises of 8 self-contained rooms for women and their children, supplemented by communal areas and facilities and on average supporting the throughput of approximately 31 women survivors and 50 children per year.
Through their advice line they can offer short term support for around 2 weeks, to women and men, whether you have children or not.
Their Advice Line is open from 9:30am – 4pm Monday-Friday
Peterborough Women's Aid offer advice and guidance on a range of situations and can also signpost you to relevant services.
They offer practical support, such as changing locks, fitting alarms to doors and windows of your home and they can support you to apply for various orders (non-molestation etc) also offering guidance around court.
Through the advice line you can also access their group work, the Own My Life course.

IMPAKT Housing and Support to provide a countywide mobile advocacy/outreach service offering a range of support to victims and survivors of domestic abuse.
The Domestic Abuse Support Service (DASS) will work in a trauma informed way to understand the needs and wishes of the individual and develop appropriate support and safety plans.
DASS will offer support with issues around home security to help survivors remain safely in their own homes where appropriate, accessing benefits and signposting or referral to specialist services such as legal representation, mental health and substance misuse. DASS will also be offering drop-in services in partnership with other specialist services across the county.
